Forssa Pick-nick 2016

We had a great day with my son Jimi, because we went to Forssa Pick-nick! awesome cars, great weather & loads of nice people. My panelvan worked fine, and we didn't have any problems, and after that we drove to somero, to eat ice cream and have a good time. my brother had his GHIA and we also swapped cars so that we can experience different kind of v-dubs.

at the cottage

what a day, couple of hundred kilometers with the panel van, and at the cottage, driving the ghia...

not so fast, but had to give it a bit of the pedal...

but at the gravel with a spool and power...made me take it really easy...JIMI was the co-pilot and he was very stunned of this experiment...

i took the vert out of the garage, so that i can change the oil, adjust the clutch, adjust the shifter, and even the brakes are made of new parts, they are pretty bad, the pedal feels rock hard, and the brakes stays "on"...

krem-a-que & cruising night at helsinki 1.7.2016

 a very nice evening with the kids and friends...first at the hietaniemi, to check the vw´s and after that cruising down the streets of helsinki city. i still think that matti´s supercharged CONTINENTAL is the best package at the streets. :-)

driving the panel van and turbo ghia evo 2

the summer seems to find Finland eventually, so i took the kids to the panel van, and headed to the cottage. the turbo ghia started well in the warm weather, even my hopes were not so high. :-) i had an urge to go and test it in the pavement, but had to calm down with that kind of thoughts. the clutch needs to be adjusted ant the shifter needs to be adjusted as well, its a bit hard to find the correct gears.
and those oil changes and filter changes and maybe a muffler would be great so that the neighbour peace woundnt be broken... ;-) that thing is a bit loud. but i bet its fun when it will be stretching its legs...

Dynosessions over...

This black ghia is running pretty good, and still in one piece. So the quest for more power is over for now, theres things to do and the inspection is still haunting in the future. Hope to get it inspected, but if that will not happen...its not the end of the world. To get the car to a cruise night and get it back home running is a big goal. It would be nice to get a nice timeslip, but first things first. Chasing the bugs first ;-)

Ok the car is also now at the cottage, next thing is the oilchange , etc overhaul and trying to get the convertible out and the "coupe" inside. Got to mock up the muffler also so that the noise will come down. ;-)
