steps back... huh

 Well, i went to pick up the violet wbx bug, but the battery was totally dead. so no improvement for that, i took the battery with me, but the defa charger was so clever that it didn't want to charge the battery... Daaaaamn! ok, have to get a old style charger to charge it, hope to get one. and it needs cooling fluid also, wbx marks it spot... sadly. and it should be inspected too, next month.

ok, the panel van was waiting for better times... maybe it will get some movement next time, at least have to start it up and let it run ...have to think when to get it inspected too...

and the dodge needs some new/rebuildt brake calipers. i think it has e-body brakes. pretty heavy after all the brembo brakes... :-) but endless work with these...

its getting colder...

the dodge disc brakes are still having bugs. 

so i took one off and try to get that working today.

this bug has also some problems, 

with the front brakes, but i will fix them too but later on.

Lahnajärvi cruising 6-2024

 we came too late, so there was not that much of cars, but still, at least we made it. here's couple of shots.

i wanted to go to the Lahnajärvi cruising with the dodge, 

so i would see what needs to be taken care of, to get this pickup to the inspection.

the carburetor is fine now, and the engine runs smoothly.

when i started the trip from somero to saukkola...

the brake pedal went down. there's some brake power but not much.

have to check for leaks, and take care of bleeding as well.

the engine temp meter didn't work... and the engine started to make noises...

well i got safely to our cottage, but there's something to work out.

2020 - The year of the corona - and some changes too

 This bad year has made me do some changes, like the two cabriolet ghias went to to a happy new owner, and this is mainly because i didn't have the money to make them any better, and to be honest, it didn't feel right anymore. so it got a Plymouth Duster instead. Similar that my dad used to own, a 1970 model, slant six, 3-speed column shifter... what a beauty. Heck i do own only two VW`s now. the panel van and the turbo ghia. two mopars, and two porsches. (one audi and one chopper harley.) maybe I'm getting mentally better?

this year has been a rough one as i broke my back too, so lots of painkillers, and nothing i can do. but I'm getting better and hopefully make some updates or video clips - who knows.

Helsinki cruise night 6.7.2018

My intentions were to pick up the pick-up (from the cottage) and drive back to the city for the cruise night...but at the cottage, the dodge didn't idle anymore...i went to talk to my neighbor chevy-guy and he insisted that i wold test his almost new edelbrock carb. As i have allergy a carter 600 in a edelbrock intake, i thought that this should be a easy swap. have to say that I don't have that much of experience with the v8 engines, but that didn't take long. approx one hour...and the dodge was running and driving again and we went to the road...intention was attend the malmi pre cruise party early....but the time was running and we came there a biiiiit tooooo late. well we bought ice-cream with my sweet lili, and then we headed to kauppatori. after a short round in there, we headed to hesburger for a late night snack. It was a great night with Lili. not a lot of picks this time. sorry.

what a evening, first we went to change the plugs to Mikael Habbaba´s Bahama yellow Porsche 911T. Its a real beauty. painted by creabit oy. but looks like one new plug is still "out of tune", so maybe its time to find the real problem, otherwise the car works fine. we went to malmi airfield, to see whats happening there. and there was a lot of nice cars and people to see. i didn't bother to take a lot of pictures, but heres some of them. maybe theres your car? see you next time?
