this is something that i want to do, a karmann ghia road racer, with flat grey/brownish paint, pop-up flares, 17 inch wheels, slammed, and with some attitude. even some mercedes slr / bmw m3 air ducts behind the front wheel arches would be great. heh heh, this body is bad enough to have some experiment. n´est pas? 

have to get the brake parts from the machine shop, the arp-studs to the drums and disks, the suspension to some useful height, and then then some more tweaking, the body is next in the line, to have some new steel parts, and why not get a safety cage, welded to tie all things together. yeah! i get a good wibes from this. let me hear some comments...

GHIA VERT UPDATE

AT FRIDAY, I rode to mäntsälä with my hardtail HD, to see and make small fixes to the vert.
first i swapped the door striker plate parts, (and it took only 10 minutes...) and now the doors swill stay closed. :-) i was happy ´bout this... second trick was to get the ghia running... ok some crap at the ignition (in the points) after some sips of gas, ... it really started up. it srtayed running even the gas is pretty old, smelled really bad & old... but still it runs. the car dont have any brakes, but i managed to test drive it... even better, now we have allways a shorter list to the inspection... ;-) have to check how to eliminate those black widow spyders, if there is any... just in case... any suggestions?

ok, after this i rode back to helsinki with the bike... and went straight to the cruising... and there was the baddest truck that exist in this planet... you cant top that... check the picks in the other topic. and after the cruising, i went to sepänkatu to see tomi seppälä and talk about the roller cams (with one frosted beer)...heh. sounds like a good friday? it really was.

...something is happening! the twin KG cabrios, should be in Finland in one week! yikes!
chrismass is really early this year ;-) ...maybe i should try to get a rag to the 65 pretty soon. ;-)
and winter tyres ;-) but this is anyways pretty outstanding news...

well i might as well tell, soft packages are out, after talking with the big-fat-with-red-clothes-dude, he promised to take these two to me after the x-mas 2010. lets see how this turns out. thanks for gilbert padilla. the one with the 5-spokes, will stay, but the other will be sold asap, when its in finland. so if you are interested, of the 1970 ghia convertible, drop me a line. jyrie @ mac.com

NEW INSPECTORS at the GARAGE

Jimi wanted to see whats happening in the garage. He made some tune-up for the Karmann Ghia, checked the nitrous nozzle & and helped to push the wassercoolers... (Tomi´s RS2 Audi).
Jimi had some new ideas about getting to the 11´s. We will see more about that later?
