What a ghia-weekend!

2 last days, at kangasniemi makes a big difference with the black ghia.

Now theres many things welded or modified, plenums, header, tubing, wastegate, cooler... Huh, even my pauter motors header got a tube and bracket for the wastegate... Wow... Im pretty happy.

Turbo Ghia - searching for bugs ;-)

I drove to kangasniemi to tear the fan apart, ( the fan was busted and it turned freely, even when the engine was not running... ) and to change for a better part... And after few hours i was able to test drive the ghia again, with my co-pilot (7-years old)  jimi... Jimi was very eager to get the ghia for a small spin, and when i got it to the third gear, and for some boost, the little boy was dead silent... Ok, some bugs made me stop the test, but it was worth the trip, because of jimis reactions before and after...

When getting back to the garage, jimi was able to get in to the tracktor with mr. Laitinen, and for a little boy, that tracktor drive was even cooler than the ghia ride... ;-) 

Theres some issues in the car that has to be fixed... But that will be another story... 

Btw, the car is now allmost "silent" after the fan-fix, getting better, but not in the "finish-line" yet. 

I will hope that we will get the bux out from the ghia... And...there will be a ballbearing hairdryer and a autotune or similar in the future... The car is looking good anyways!

Pick-a-part ...for the black

Picked up this adapter for the ghia, hopefully the sparks will fly in a week or so, because im getting veeery curious! And now i have the other parts as well, its great that there is companies like paruzzi, aircooled.fi & keiteleen kone!

water coming from the roof of the cellar, BUT i had luck, because i just got the pauter turbo engine safely to Kangasniemi, with big help from mika särkelä, tomi seppälä, pekka laitinen, and korrek :-) Now my other parts & magazines are in danger... theres a pauter turbo kit, american racing wheels etc... fighting against the water. :-( well at least i know what im doing this weekend. :-(

porsche 911 engine - 3.0

i managed to pick up, the most potential engine for the 912, thanks J.R. for that.

im thinking to swap some webers to it, to look more old-school...this is the 204 hp model, and i really hope that it still got some of them... a old school 912 with a lond distance engine, with turbo-brakes and 17 inch wheels could be great.

karmann ghia - cage

a race-monkey needs a safetycage, and that´s the next thing to happen. a full race cage for the future engine updates.
after that, it needs some painting. theres some spots that need more black ;-) mostly inside. i hope that you can see this at american car show 2010. :-)

small things happening...slooooowly

got a MSD vw distributor from "Race Kaide", BIIIIG thanks for that. it will go to the turbo -engine with the 6BTM box,
+ i got the KG wiring Kit, from EBAY / PAUL CAPPEL, states... BIG THANKS!

THINGS are going pretty well with the 2332cc/superflow/kawell engine in KANGASNIEMI, more of that later on. :-)
