The part that you allmost never change in a bus a steering rod, in the picture...poor space to use good tools, but i will get the job done, i dont like to quit... :-/ but you know what? Seems like the part in the bus is only 54 years old, so it could use a break... ;-) it has the grease nipples...

And big thanks to oberschlachter for the correct part, its not the easiest part to find...

the Vert needs my attention again. it will need, dropped & narrowed front axle, porsche pattern disks in front, 5-130 mm to the rear also, new bearings, new brakes, and those chromed 17" Foochs wheels. the ghia slides like a train in the highway, but there could be a bit more style...and becuse of me, first the attitude then the ... REST ...

i got new GREAT GHIA repairpanels from the paruzzi boys, and have to say that this is not some china junk, its real steel, have to locate a fast/good welder though... what else? a new retro sound radio... not installed yet, but im working on it... picks coming later, while i get myself on thr right mood to do some assembly. i guess that in these days.  :-)

the BAD... ok, i tryed to get parts from Keiteleen kone, drive to the yard...but 3 times - no service, no answer, no info....that does it for me. ...then to the motonet vantaa to get parts, ok, in lohja i got brake cylinders but not in helsinki or vantaa... :-(

so when i will try to get more parts in the sametime. from paruzzi.fi.

finally?

for the moment it seems that the pick up for the ghias will be the 27.4.2011. ugh. at last.
i sure hope that everything goes as planned. Ok, what happens then? some examination ...what works ...brakes, wipers, engine, lights...and what needs to be repaired? etc... a new roof/parts are pretty much in boxes...allready...
i also have two bucket seats, but they might be going with the 1970 model, because that one lack both front seats... :-( will see... it sure would be fun to get the ghia working for the summer :-) (to be continued...)

yeeeha! the carpet kit for the ghia is finally in here! and it looks good, Black car + red interior + oatmeal carpet + shiny weld racing wheels + black/chrome turbo engine ...meoooowwww! (something like in the ghia picture)

Have to say that the oberschlachter guys are really great! great prices, great products, great shipping times, etc... its my favourite shop! THANKS A LOT AGAIN!
