the black ghia update - from laitinen motorsport zentrum

yep, i couldnt make it there due to my illness, but mika my friend did, and took some picks, and also his daughter Linnea. thanks to them. i wanted to go to get some wibes of this, but its a looong drive for me, and looks like 60-70 kilometers drive is all i can do for now. long story but my heart sarchoidosis is giving me hard times. and especially the medication which is anything but nice... my feet are like balloons, and some fluids are coming through the skin...not so nice. + i´m totallly exhausted. but hey, lets concentrate to the dark side. :-) the black ghia. heres the engine, which will go to the engine bay, some brake parts, some picks of the engine cooling, yes the supaflows are wassercooled, and what else? well some brackets for the coil over suspension etc... wow. the body needs to go back to the painter, and the interior will be take its place in future... Pekka is the master, have to say.

ok, so far things are looking better...JE pistons, pauter rods, Pauter or moldex crank, everything looks clean & very nicely glued with some kind of cement... and now the engine turns easily...so it would be best to put it back in one piece... ;-)

1 head off!, ok, no pauter cylinders BUT autocrafts, looks like there is pauter steel rods, which is cool....and i´n not sure, but there might be a pauter crank, it sure looked tough, the valves are 48x40mm rockers are Gene berg...

friday 13th - pauter - turbo terror @ the customs.

ok, this is the part 2 of the friday 13th,

i got a call, emails, bills etc... and now the Pauter engine waits for the pick up...

looks like everyone else is going to the scc 2010 at norway except me...

BUT i can try to live with that because my Super-motor might be at the sepänkatu garage in the same time when the others are on the scc. DAMN this is a great day!

next week will be pretty damn interesting. and Special thanks goes to "Super Arska" in California...for picking up the engine and shipping it to finland. yeeeeeha!

vw open 2010 - kiikala

ok, sorry bout the bad pictures, but i had my kid with me, no video camera, no rothmans panel van and there was plenty of friends there, so i have only couple of shots to show you what kind of cars you can find in this "vw-happening"...

there was a hemi challenger, loads of vettes, some pretty hairy european turbo cars like 10 sec old ford escorts, a Nissan GT-R, a monster turbo AUDI from estonia (with bigger than a jumbojet turbo) and plenty of bugs...but what was really strange, that the "names" of the finnish vw scene didnt show up in the line-up. maybe this wasn´t the best year for the fast vw´s?

OK, heeba had his bug at dyno in friday with 202 hp, and j. kemppi had 211 hp in his atmo-bug...my 3 year old boy slept pretty well even we were located allmost in the starting line... ;-)

...The slugs were there with the motorhome - but not with the race-cars... :-(

i had a tight time schedual, so i had to go at 14:45, well the exact same time when THOR the god of THUNDER wanted to have his show, its 17:37 now and the sky is loaded with lightnings, and a great thunder it sure is... after driving couple of minutes from the airfield, a huge rain started...and i mean - huge rain! check out the pictures....
