the 1915cc engine project is gone, to be in casimir´s bus...

i hope that it will give some smiles when it's running.

My panel van makes me happy and feeling great, it goes like a go-cart. 

Have to change the oil and the filters too, and also check the fuel lines...  

2020 - The year of the corona - and some changes too

 This bad year has made me do some changes, like the two cabriolet ghias went to to a happy new owner, and this is mainly because i didn't have the money to make them any better, and to be honest, it didn't feel right anymore. so it got a Plymouth Duster instead. Similar that my dad used to own, a 1970 model, slant six, 3-speed column shifter... what a beauty. Heck i do own only two VW`s now. the panel van and the turbo ghia. two mopars, and two porsches. (one audi and one chopper harley.) maybe I'm getting mentally better?

this year has been a rough one as i broke my back too, so lots of painkillers, and nothing i can do. but I'm getting better and hopefully make some updates or video clips - who knows.

krem-a-que & cruising night at helsinki 1.7.2016

 a very nice evening with the kids and friends...first at the hietaniemi, to check the vw´s and after that cruising down the streets of helsinki city. i still think that matti´s supercharged CONTINENTAL is the best package at the streets. :-)

OK, heres couple of pictures of this happening, some nice type 2´s, and one pretty awesome synchro off-roader, and some bugs of course. food, drinks, lottery and this normal stuff. next time i will be earlier on the move, :-)

selling parts to buy services - 4 ghia

sometimes you just have top get rid of the "jewels" to get in a better speed. like now, i just put the 1968 911 S-block and 911 S-curved vertex magneto, heads, crank ... and some other stuff 4 sale. some interest is already. also for the other block that i have... will see, if i get a good price, i could take the black ghia to autotune, right now. :-) for the finish of the project...and dyno time.

but while waiting miracles to happen, i will fix this light blue vert ghia... the cuurrent thing with it, has been changing to better looking cooling...and it already looks much cleaner. n´est pas?

the panel van will get new parking brake shoes, hopefully tomorrow. 

if things goes well. and the inspection is also pretty soon. 

Things are happening!

1. First thing is to go tomorrow to a heart surgery, but because this blog is not abouth helth & things like that lets concentate to the vw things... Ok first thing is that my panelvan is getting better @ kotten tallgrens garage, lots of welding, changing the steering box, more welding, installing the monster tach, etc... Changing to the bigger fuel lines from tha tank... And finally getting rid of the steering problems...

 I hope to get the panel back in the road asap. This might change a lot of the 55 years old vw's handling. 

2. The stroker engine is coming up slowly, for the moment the pushrods needs to be shortened, kotten is taking care of them also. Great. And im waiting for the intake manifolds too, but i still need the valvecovers...we almost ended to turbocharge this 84x94, but have to wait one year for that, i need one atmo-stroker to drive. ;-)

3. The black ghia is waiting for some fuel parts, but the new fuel rails are ready at p laitinen's place. Yeeaha! We have to modifie some installed parts but that will be another story. 

Things happen...

Good and bad, 

The bad first: 

1. been in a hospital due to the heart problems, and have to go back for some surgery, but in before that, i ve got to put the plenums back to the turbo-ghia, and light stuff like that.

2. The rothmans racing panel van, has some rust issues, and needs repairs to the steering area too, but i've been getting help from k.tallgren, and i'm happy with that, will be better after this.

3. Everything comes in the worst situation, BUT im used in that. :-)

The good:

1. got the plenums back for the ghia. Yeeha! Mr. Laitinen from kangasniemi got them fixed, and now i can put them back, and bolt many parts back to the ghia. More of that later...

2. Will be getting fuel rails a bit later, but they will be even better than before.

3. The stroker will be great, when i get the missing parts like ida--superflo manifolds & valve covers.

4. I might get a third heart surgery/operation and maybe be in a better shape pretty soon.
