problems found...

 i bought some old turbo/injection parts. and thought why the jenveys are partially black, and the other one is clear...so i saw that the problem has to be bent "something"...and it really is. no wonder that they cant get it run correctly at the dyno. And just like it has to go, the last bolt won't get off. so i will go and check if i can get it off now, hope to get this project moving again. its 1.1.2026, so no time to waste!

a small problem with this fork, 

but we managed to fix it eventually.

we also changed to a softer (black magic) clutch disk.

its now with a kep stage 3 pressure plate.

also now its adjusted. and works.

these quick locks i wanted to the bug and ghia. 

as its pain to get out, with my torso.

broken back, and belly too. :-) 

ok thats a light one. the wbx flywheel...

new parts, should last for a while.

I got jimi to help me, as my wrist is somehow broken, 

as the res of my body, but anyways...

we took the old gearbox off, it was only there for moving the bug.

now we put the drag race gearbox IN!

there's also karpiola race axles, and mister

Kotten fixed all the gremlins off.

so now we are getting somewhere. at last.

have to go to shop more big nuts and bolts too. 

this will be great. now the big question is ...

need for speed part 2

 this time we visited räyskälä airfield, test & tune - drag races. But with the karmann ghia, as i haven't been able to test it at the strip at all. well it was a cool day, but disappointing for the time slips. as my best was the first pass. 14.1 @ 166 km/h. the engine shakes a lot, tires loose the traction... at the first attempt. 

second is worse, doesn't go to the second gear as the engine shakes more. so the time was baaaad.

third pass was easier on the start, as i wanted more grip. but, at the second gear clutch was toasted, third gear same, and the fourth too. that was around 16 sec. 

but now i know that what i have to do. for the next season. a lot of things. :-) will see. the day was one of the best of this year. as was the kiikala burn out party 2025. i need more practice, and a good plan. But fellow vw enthusiast, you need to get to the strip. there's not many. :-( 

some upgrade at the garage...

 cutting, grinding, fitting, and  cutting, grinding, fitting, 

well getting somewhere anyways. looks better, but the throttle bores are still missing.

and the header for the turbo won't fit with that massive oil pump. 

and this turbo engine is a 76x94 oxyboxer

this on is a 2332cc basic stroker

agent orange and the red rooster

 both of these needs some action. the red one needs the front brake, assembled at the garage, and then back to the cottage. to put it in its place. i don't like the cold weather and working outside. but got to do that, then its done. and as i drive a audi quattro, i can even come back from the cottage, the down hill to the cottage is a bit icy and slippery. and good news with the orange bug, as the transmission is good and ready,  so it might be best to get the bug from cottage to more suitable place to change the gearbox. more of that later. have to go to garage now. ciao!

that pesky leaking ghia

it drives me crazy, as it is really had to operate. i got one leak less, but it still leaks somewhere. have to go to fix the second one. than im ready for the next ones. maybe its just like p.laitinen told me, that the hoses might be toasted, of the E85. that would be awful. but as always, Pekka might be right on this. :-(

i would like to get the engine running again. summer is pretty short in here.
