Ugly duckling, testing

Had to test a color that has been on my mind, silver paint mixed with black paste.

should be flat, will see... but the color is great. atleast for this.

if only the other side would be welded...and the front too... :-(

but, Boys will be boys...this was a fun experiment.

i made some things to the stroker too...

a face that only a mother could love....

even this might be one of the ugliest "pretty car"

it could be better, so i ordered some panels from 

www.karmannghia.de to get the face look decent.

The guys at texas modified the front ...well ...badly.

now it really needs the help of the "plastic surgery".

i don't know, should i just give up or go with the flow?

it is ...a beauty indeed. :-) but i love "layout" :-)

some parts still needed, especially the nose panel.

Super flo - under cover.

Time to cut up the new cylinder tins for the Super Flo heads,

They needed some cutting, and looks like i have to 

make more room for the spark plugs. not sure but it looks like

that theres no space at all for the wires. next stop is the alternator and 

the fan. maybe theres some plans how and where to cut, 

but lets learn this from the hard way.and the full flow areas

tinware needs to be modified as well, also because 

theres this cam position sensor. more of this later on.

ugly duckling - this time naked

This time without the flares, but drivers side welded..

I'm waiting for the headlamp area repairpanels to come from karmannghia.de,

but seems to take long, because of the bank transfer.

theres a lot to do, but i somehow fell in love with this piece of s..t, 

atleast after i used the saw to do room for the tires...

btw...what color would you choose?

Forssa Pick-nick 2016

We had a great day with my son Jimi, because we went to Forssa Pick-nick! awesome cars, great weather & loads of nice people. My panelvan worked fine, and we didn't have any problems, and after that we drove to somero, to eat ice cream and have a good time. my brother had his GHIA and we also swapped cars so that we can experience different kind of v-dubs.

at the cottage

what a day, couple of hundred kilometers with the panel van, and at the cottage, driving the ghia...

not so fast, but had to give it a bit of the pedal...

but at the gravel with a spool and power...made me take it really easy...JIMI was the co-pilot and he was very stunned of this experiment...

i took the vert out of the garage, so that i can change the oil, adjust the clutch, adjust the shifter, and even the brakes are made of new parts, they are pretty bad, the pedal feels rock hard, and the brakes stays "on"...

krem-a-que & cruising night at helsinki 1.7.2016

 a very nice evening with the kids and friends...first at the hietaniemi, to check the vw´s and after that cruising down the streets of helsinki city. i still think that matti´s supercharged CONTINENTAL is the best package at the streets. :-)

jyrki´s 911 turbo, sounded pretty mean.
